Overview

HMS Brilliant (F90) was a Type 22 Broadsword-class frigate of the Royal Navy, commissioned in 1978. Designed primarily for anti-submarine warfare, she served in a wide variety of roles including NATO exercises, patrols, and humanitarian missions. She was decommissioned in 1996 after nearly two decades of service.
